To all members of the Allen County Meltdown, you have been striving to lose weight and develop healthy eating and exercise patterns. The final weigh in for the Meltdown is Thursday March 11 from 6:30pm-7:30pm. Everyone has been working hard for the last 9 weeks.
Sunny Shreeve and David Toland of Thrive Allen County, along with the Allen County Meltdown Committee and Healthy Lifestyles Committee are hopeful that every participant has become healthier and achieved their Meltdown goals.
During the Meltdown, behavior modification techniques were posted each week on the Allen County Meltdown site.
The word diet comes from the latin word dieta, meaning daily routine. Think of the 9 weeks not as a period of diet, but as a period of developing a healthy daily routine or a healthy daily lifestyle. Those participants that have made the changes in routine to be healthier will remember that the Meltdown was the key to start living healthier!
Over the last few weeks, many of you have been changing your behaviors. You have learned that eating healthy doesn't have to be drudgery and something you do only when on a diet. Eating healthy foods and exercising is what you do every day, for a lifetime.
