Are you getting enough servings per day?
Today, 85% of our nation's children and 60% of adults do not meet the 5-9 servings per day recommendation for fruits and vegetables. Furthermore, 90% of American food income goes to buy processed foods. Set a goal today to consume the recommended 5-9 servings each day and watch your weight go down!! Consuming the recommended servings of fruits and vegetables increases your intake of fiber as well as many vitamins and minerals. In addition, replacing other foods with fruits and vegetables will help reduce your overall calorie intake, leading to weight loss or helping with the maintenance of a healthy weight.
