Welcome to The Allen County Meltdown

How do I know if my body is getting a good cardiovascular workout?

Take the Talk Test!

If you can talk while doing physical activity, you're probably moving at a good, moderate pace.  If you're too breathless to talk, slow down.  If you can sing, you probably aren't working hard enough...pick up the pace!  Sedentary people who begin physical activity should start with short sessions (around 10-15 minutes) of a physical actvity like walking and gradually build up each week.  Try to aim for at least 30-45 minutes of cardiovascular exercise 3 to 4 times a week to see results.
